The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) was looking to extend the benefits of server virtualisation to its main production site, where it was facing considerable pressure on floorspace and power supplies.

LSD recently hosted an Ubuntu Package Jam at their offices. The idea was to get more local developers involved with Ubuntu developement. The session was lead by LSD technical directory Stefan Lesicnik. The blog post has more information.
